Sweatin' from just reading. Looked at your most recent rides and felt my legs burn. Checked out your pics...and...what is different, besides being in a place where the signage is in metric? Oh yah! The jersey! A new design concept?

I totally agree. It is a long cry for unparalleled commitment to each other as cyclists in NE Oregon! Just trying to start a conversation with others is like trying to blow air through a piece of glass. It ends up in vain, and I look like a fool from the observers' side. But, heck! I'm just your local grocery guy. What do I know?!

Hay...seen any? Where's my positive thinker. There are millions of bike riders and most of them are the wimps for not even giving it a shot in their lifetime. You're out there with the big boys!

I think if you took the ELk Man down you could get your own series. He stole some face time from you and is your biggest competition.

It is true that he does commando training and also has an <a href="http://caliradocyclist.blogspot.com/2007/02/jens-voigt-eats-pieces-of-st-like-you.html" rel="nofollow">uncanny resemblance to Chuck,</a> so don't mess with Jens.

As a follow up to my post, while watching Paris-Nice the other day I saw that I was part of the VS intro. Given VS redundancy in stock footage usage, I'd say I'm going to be getting mucho face time on TV this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a feature dedicated me.

Good tips. I will try to use them next year. We could practice prior to the race. I wouldn't want to take out Jens because of all the pre-season commando training.

That is pretty good. We don't see anything like that here in Boise, as I am sure you know. We just get the crap and only if you wake up early enough do you get the nice fluffy snow w/ a few drifts. What usually happens is that it snows, then starts melting so that at night it freezes over and then we might have some new snow on top of it. So that in the morning you get to have the fun job of guessing where the frozen ruts are in the road.

My condolences to Natalie. Huge loss Brian's family to all of his friends .Big Brian was the best freind and mechanic you could have. Kind hearted and caring he consoled me when my dogs passed away, several times. We would talk about his and Natalie's puppys and that that had passed Zabo, Tuz, Kitchi, Ouri (hope I did not mis-spell). I am not the only friend who will miss Brian, there are many lives he touched. My freind, my big brother I will miss you and the puppy play days, the coffe and goodies and the conversations. As Brian would say when anyone was leaving, "be good."

I've known Brian since the Tailwind Bikes days. Every nice thing that's been said on the blogs is True! He was gracious yet grumpy, tasteful yet unrefined. The guy was so very talented, kind, and helpful to almost everyone that he became a legend in his own time in the cycling/MTB community. Legends never die, at least in our hearts. Long live Brian!
