Okay, so I boasted a bit too soon and Mick is now pointing at a real scoreboard that has both of our names on it, but with mine lower down the list. See the scoreboard here and realize two things: this is a criterium (of which I abhor and have never done well at) and there were quite a few more than 10 in the race (so this is a legit top 10).
In an effort for me to save face, remember that in my last post I was boasting about 2009 and my amazing start and finish. This is just the beginning of 2010, and I’ve got some time to assert my world dominance this year. Also, I ordered some custom shoes, the same ones that Mick wears, so I’m sure once I put those on I’ll be faster then him. By that time he’ll be the Australian national champion too. That means at some point I may have the chance to go up against the world and national champions while I am in Australia. Contador will be next.
