And one other Brian that I forgot to mention in my post on Brians: Brian of Brian’s Pro Bike Shop. I learned the sad news today that he passed last night. I remember climbing into the back of his van to fetch a wheel in Idaho last spring. Slowest wheel change ever. Then, he proceeded to throttle me in his big white van and my race was over. He was a nice character to have at races. R.I.P. Brian.

I’ve known Brian since the Tailwind Bikes days. Every nice thing that’s been said on the blogs is True! He was gracious yet grumpy, tasteful yet unrefined. The guy was so very talented, kind, and helpful to almost everyone that he became a legend in his own time in the cycling/MTB community. Legends never die, at least in our hearts. Long live Brian!

My condolences to Natalie. Huge loss Brian’s family to all of his friends .Big Brian was the best freind and mechanic you could have. Kind hearted and caring he consoled me when my dogs passed away, several times. We would talk about his and Natalie’s puppys and that that had passed Zabo, Tuz, Kitchi, Ouri (hope I did not mis-spell). I am not the only friend who will miss Brian, there are many lives he touched. My freind, my big brother I will miss you and the puppy play days, the coffe and goodies and the conversations. As Brian would say when anyone was leaving, “be good.”
