As we speak I’m stuffing my face at the buffets of Reno, Nevada. This will serve as a final gorging session before I focus on a new season of training that starts next Monday.
As I embark on this next chapter, I will be commencing a weekly ride called “Fight Club.” For this ride, I am expecting the same robust turnout as my previous events: 2 participants including myself and my alter ego <Tyler>. This ride will take place on Saturday mornings at 9 am from the corner of Mt. Glen Rd and Booth Ln north of La Grande. Weekly throughout the winter either Tyler or myself will be there so someone is definitely going to get beat up. I’m planning on bringing the fastest bike (a.k.a. weapon) possible for the given conditions. Here is a list of the (modified) rules of fight club:
- The first rule of Fight Club is - you do not talk about Fight Club.
- The second rule of Fight Club is - you DO NOT talk about Fight Club.
- Third rule of Fight Club, someone yells Stop!, goes limp, taps out, their fight is over and they must go home. The only permissible excuse will be, “I couldn’t ride fast enough.”
- Fourth rule, anyone can fight.
- Fifth rule, as many fights as you want, fellas.
- Sixth rule, wear your gang colors.
- Seventh rule, fights will go on as long as they have to.
- And the eighth and final rule, if this is your first day at Fight Club, you have to fight. (from IMDB)
